Families

An important part of the athletes support team are their family members.
Many families decide to travel to the World Games to cheer their athletes.

We´re looking forward to welcome families from around the world in Austria.

Special Olympics World Winter Games Austria 2017 defines a family member as:

  • The husband, wife, partner or child of the competing athlete

  • A blood relative of the athlete (mother, father, child, sister, brother, grandparent, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, cousin, and relatives related by marriage or partner of a blood relative)

  • An individual who serves as the athletes’ legal guardian, foster parent, or caregiver

The Families Program is only for family members of athletes competing at the World Games. Registration will not be valid until they are approved by your Special Olympics Program Family Coordinator.

If you are not a family member, registration is not required to attend and everyone is welcome to come as general spectators!

Registration for family members (Deadline: January, 15th 2017)

Notice: If you do not see a confirmation page your registration did not go through!
