Dancing

During the Special Olympics World Winter Games we will host the Special Olympics World Dance Days with a Pre-Dance Contest and the World Dance Contest.

The Dance Contest first premiered in Los Angeles (2015) and will now take place for the second time. Dancing is a demonstration sport. The goal ist to make it an official competition sport by 2020 at future World Games.
Contestants will compete in three different categories: Solo, Couple (2 people/great for unified) and Crew (4-12 people, more than 50% of the crew-members must be people with intellectuall disabilities).

In addition to the competitions there will also be a Dance Show as part of the closing ceremony.

Update: There will be tickets available for the World Dance Contest on Wednesday, 03/22/2017 at the door between 5.30 and 6.30 pm at Orpheum Graz. First come - first serve!
